Welcome to the Staying Connected. We now offer the Children First Education Curriculum for Divorcing parents. The purpose of this program is to assist parents with helping their children through the stresses of divorce. Within my 20 years of working with individuals and families I have found that providing a calming, welcoming environment aids in a client’s ability and path towards emotional growth. SC allows individuals to tackle the tough area of successful co-parenting (post divorce) in a comforting, warm environment where you feel valued, heard and free of judgment. That’s the Staying Connected Advantage.
All of our parents will learn:
- How to effectively communicate with each other
- To establish personal responsibility and mutual respect
- Successful conflict resolution
- When and how to integrate new loved ones into the child’s life
As a past social worker and current Masters level Marriage and Family Therapist, I’ve heard several statements such as:
“How should I talk to my child about the divorce”
“Can I still attend my daughter’s gymnastics' practice?”
“I don’t want to change my kid’s school”
Because of SCCC individualized and small group sessions, I can also tackle issues such as:
“How am I going to make it financially”
“I’m scared to be alone”
“I don’t want another man taking the role as Father”
“I don’t want to be the mean parent while they get to be the fun weekend parent”
